The Paso a Paso Network’s Fatherhood Initiative works to address and support the importance of fathers and men taking an active role in the well being of children. We promote systems change and advocate for policies and standards that improve the health and educational outcomes for children, prenatal to age 8, through engaging fathers more in their children’s lives. By developing these upstream solutions, we hope to create a community that recognizes, nurtures and strengthens the role of fatherhood and male involvement in the healthy development of all children.
Research shows that children who have positively engaged fathers avoid risky behaviors, are more committed to their own personal health and success, achieve higher levels of learning in school, and are better prepared to contribute to the good health of their families. Paso a Paso's Fatherhood Initiative is working to ensure that our community’s young children grow up safe and healthy.
